Healing Rain  by Michael W. Smith

Healing rain is coming down
It's coming nearer to this old town
Rich and poor, weak and strong
It's bringing mercy, it won't be long

Healing rain is coming down
It's coming closer to the lost and found
Tears of joy, and tears of shame
Are washed forever in Jesus' name

Healing rain, it comes with fire
So let it fall and take us higher
Healing rain, I'm not afraid
To be washed in Heaven's rain

Lift your heads, let us return
To the mercy seat where time began
And in your eyes, I see the pain

Come soak this cry heart with healing rain

And only You, the Son of man
Can take a leper and let him stand
So lift your hands, they can be held
By someone greater, the great I Am

Healing rain, it comes with fire
So let it fall and take us higher
Healing rain, I'm not afraid
To be washed in Heaven's rain

To be washed in Heaven's rain...

Healing rain is falling down
Healing rain is falling down
I'm not afraid
I'm not afraid...

Happy 4th of July!
(I wonder how many people put off and go see fireworks that really know what it's all about?)

Anyways, I decided not to go to Millville, but to stay home with my family.  That's a little different.  I think this is our first 4th of July spent apart in 3 years.  But all is good.

I'm itching to go rasberry picking down where I use to live.  I know that must sound dreadfully boring to some of you, but I love it  - the country life!

Don't really know what we're doing today. I think while I wait for the answer I'll go put a load of laundry in.

....thinking and ripping out my hair.....

ok, so this whole ripping out the kitchen and dining room is getting pretty old, pretty fast.  I'm ready to be able to make and eat real food.

Took my bridesmaid dress to be hemmed and taken in today.  The lady is really nice, but talks a lot, that's okay.

After I took my dress and left I stopped in at my Gram Aumillers house.  She lives in Milroy so it was really close.  She was happy to see me.  We talked for about an hour.  She talked about her hip surgery coming up and the pain she's in. She told me about the dog they had when my mom and them were growing up -Tammy - really mean to anyone who wasn't in the family.  She told me about how she grew up without electricity until she was in her teens.  And how it was like life altering when they had it.  She said it was really weird to be able to just touch a switch and go on with your day.  They didn't have to spend any more Saturday's washing the lamps, filling them back up and cutting the wicks.  I don't know about you, but I find it pretty interesting. She told me how they use to bale hay.  They didn't have a tractor until she was out of school.  They used horses. (Although when my sisters and I work with our horses, it makes her really nervous)  I love my grandma.  When I was leaving she gave me a crumb cake to bring home.  I was hungry so I munched on it for awhile - Gram is an awesome cook.

Now I'm home.  There are things to be done, but they aren't really interesting me at the moment, even though I am kind of bored.

Tomorrow I'm going out with a few of my girls to JP Edwards for dessert and drinks (water - duh).

Leave for Texas in about 2 weeks!  Looking forward to seeing Candy, Lindsey and Sarah.  I miss them.

email me and keep me up to date with what all  ur up to. s_ltate@pbu.edu

Stay cool! This heat is suppose to break by Saturday.

wow. okay. so, it's been a little while since I wrote in here.  I came home for the summer, finally.  I got in about 11:40.  Could barely keep my eyes open on the way home.  We stopped in at Dan's brother and sister-in-law to see them and the new baby.  Korinne is so cute!  I call Dan "Uncle Pimple", lol (he loves that!)

I started to move back into my room today.  It'll take a little while to get everything where I want it, but it's getting there.  It's hard to believe that I only have a year left until I graduate.  I'm really hoping for a good last year.  This fall semester should be fairly relaxing, if I keep up on things.  I am really looking forward to my internship.  I stopped in the other day to show them my Germany and Switzerland pictures.  They were glad to see me.  They had been cleaning all day though, cause a family had stopped in and they all had lice!  But anyways, I was told that I would have my own desk (possibly own office) and my computer will have internet! (much improvement since this  past semester!) Can't wait!  Besides my internship I'll have two social work classes and an independant study of church history 1.  Easiest semester (work load wise) yet!  Dorothy told me I would be doing FAST again, and they are also starting up another Parents Aynomous group for Teen parents and I will run it! What good practice!!

I'll be heading out to Texas in a few weeks.  It's still weird to think of Candy being married.     ...life is changing...
She got us shoes, and they match perfectly! (pretty good for payless!!)  I love them, and they are comfortable, which is always good for the whole standing  bit that we do. :)  I can't wait, I'm really excited for her.  just gotta get working on her scrapbook, so it's done in time to take with me.

I wish I had more summer time left, seeing how it just started and it's already almost over.  Just gotta make the most of each day.
